在古代人看来大自然是智慧的源泉,是万物的母亲,所以中国古代便有了天人合一的说法。在中世纪大自然被说成是上帝。但到了近代,大自然只是一个量的世界,具体化了的几何世界;虽然有每一事物的位置却没有人的位置的世界;是一个完全区分于我们的质和感知的世界;区分我们在里面生活着,爱着和恨着的世界。在过去的两个世纪内,我们就是伴随着这两分局面而生活着。现代科学的发展,使人们意识到该是结束这种局面的时候了。如果说近代工业社会是一个把世界拆零了的时代,而我们现在则将进入一个把拆零了的世界重新组装的时代;一个把动力学与热力学,物理学和生物学,自然科学与人文科学,西方文化传统与东方文化传统结合起来。在一个更高的基础上建立人与自然的新的联盟以及艺术与自然的新的联盟的时代。
In the view of the ancient people, nature was the source of wisdom and the mother of all things. Therefore, in ancient China, there was a saying that man and nature were united. In medieval times nature was said to be God. But in modern times, nature is only one quantity of the world, the geometric world that has been embodied; although the world has the position of every thing but no one’s position; it is a world totally separated from our quality and perception; Living inside, love and hate the world. In the past two centuries, we have lived with these two points. The development of modern science has led to the realization that it is time to end this situation. If we say that modern industrial society was an era of demolishing the world, and now we are going to enter an era of reassembling the demolished world, a time when dynamics and thermodynamics, physics and biology, the natural sciences and the humanities, Western cultural traditions and Eastern cultural traditions together. An era of establishing a new alliance of man and nature and a new alliance of art and nature on a higher basis.
