近年来，贵州省玉屏侗族自治县以增加农民收入为目标，着实调整全县畜禽产业结构，做大做强养牛、养羊、养鹅三大畜禽品牌，从而激活了农村经济的快速发展。去年，全县畜禽产值近1．5亿元，人均占有畜禽76公斤，人均纯收入2125元，比2003年增长7％。
