In recent years, with the improvement of people’s living standards, the dependence on electricity has become stronger and stronger, and power outages will have a huge impact on people’s production and life. However, due to various reasons, power supply companies often overlook the need to strictly implement the power outage procedures in accordance with state regulations when power outages, and if the power users therefore file a lawsuit and require the power supply company to compensate for the losses, it may lead to the consequences of losing the lawsuit. According to the author’s investigation, in litigation cases of power supply companies, lawsuits caused by power outages are surpassing the compensation for electric shock damages.
