Study of different light intensity on several quality standards. Tests in growth chambers, greenhouses and open fields have shown that generally low light intensity is detrimental to quality. If the light intensity was reduced from 35,000 lux (1x) to 6000 lux, the dry matter content of lettuce decreased from 7.23% to 4.39%; the vitamin C content was reduced from 16.54 mg / 100 g to 9.86 mg / 100 g.
