竹类专题园是中国’99昆明世界园艺博览会场馆内的6大专题园之一，该园占地面积为38．5亩，目前已引种竹种约40属255种，成为世界上竹子种类最为丰富并以丛生竹为特色的竹园。在不到一年的时间内将如此众多的来自不同纬度、不同海拔、不同气候带、具有不同生态习性的竹种引种到位，种植成活并使其生长良好、建成较好的园林景观，这在园林史上是罕见的。本文是世博会竹类专题园引种竹种的初步名录。
Bamboo Theme Park is one of the 6 special theme parks in the ’99 Kunming World Horticultural Exposition Venue. The park covers an area of 38.5 mu and has introduced about 40 species of 255 species of bamboo, making it the world’s most species of bamboo Chuk Yuen, rich in bushy bamboos.
