行知小学是由原江汉桥小学(1885年建校)与原大通巷小学(1905年建校)两所百年老校资源整合而成的一所有着近130年历史的百年老校,有着悠久的办学历史和深厚的文化底蕴。1935年3月8日,陶行知先生亲临“汉口市立第三小学”(即原大通巷小学的前身)视导学校教育,亲自为师生作了题为《怎样做小先生》的著名演说,并为学校题词两幅,其一为:“从前世界属大人,现在世界属儿童”;其二为:“手 Xingzhi Primary School is a century-old elder school nearly 130 years old which is composed of two hundred-year old school resources, formerly Jianghanqiao Primary School (founded in 1885) and two former 100-year-old senior primary schools (formerly established in 1905) The school history and profound cultural heritage.
