An annual solar eclipse will occur on November 23 this year, and partial eclipses can be seen in vast areas of our country. By then, everyone can use soot blackened glass to watch, so as not to cause the eyes to be burned by sunlight. In ancient times, because people did not understand the truth of the solar eclipse, whenever the eclipse arrived, it was always uneasy, and it was hard to know whether it was a murderer or a lucky person. Those feudal emperors made use of some myths and legends to publicize superstitions, ordered the nation to fast-break and bathe, and took the lead in taking a vegetarian diet. As a result, some absurd superstitions spread to Japan. Many people have long believed that the solar eclipse was caused by the “Tenggou eats the sun.” In modern times, astronomical workers not only explained the reasons for the eclipse for us in detail, but also accurately predicted the advent of the eclipse and the site of the eclipse.
