随着我国对外开放政策的贯彻执行,大批工业产品正在或者准备打入国际市场,不少外贸部门及生产厂家都积极在各类外国报刊杂志上刊登广告,或以出版专集的形式向外宣传自己的产品和技术能力。因此,产品广告英语的翻译(主要是汉译英)应该引起我们足够的重视。本文想就科技广告英语的特点,以及我国对外宣传中的科技广告英语翻译的问题,谈一点粗略的看法,抛砖引玉,以引起深入研究。
