Michael cells, also known as tactile cells, are cytoplasmic and transparent dendritic cells located in the basal layer of the epidermis. Merkell’s staining with tannic acid in 875 showed that this kind of cells were associated with the terminal non-projection of myelinated nerve fibers as the terminal organ of tactile receptors (1). The discovery of Michael’s cell has been more than 100 years old, but it is a matter of recent years that it is clear that the tumor originated from this cell origin. Especially after the 1980s, foreign dermatologists and pathologists used electron microscopy and immunochemistry to observe the characteristics of such tumors. In view of the fact that there are no special reports in the country, a special review is provided for reference.
