我于十年前(1987年)罹患肾癌,在市第三人民医院手术切除、化疗。虽说得的是不治之绝症,但我依然是我行我素,活得上好。尽管是劫后余生,毫不耽误我的文学创作活动,并在接近花甲之岁时,调到重庆市人民政府的文史研究馆任副馆长,也是出乎自己的意外。市里的领导,以及全国各地的一些文学朋友、文学前辈,都为我创造出生命之奇迹而庆幸,纷纷以不同的方式向我表达慰问,感激之情,溢我胸怀;激动之心,催我奋进。
I had kidney cancer ten years ago (1987) and underwent surgical resection and chemotherapy in the Third People’s Hospital of the city. Although it is deadly terminal disease, but I still go its own way, live well. Although it is the survivor, without delay in my literary creation activities, and close to the age of six, transferred to the Municipal People’s Government of Chongqing Research Institute of Culture and History deputy director, is out of their own accident. The leaders of the city, as well as some literary friends and literary predecessors all over the country, are all fortunate to create a miracle of life for me. They have expressed their sympathy and gratitude to me in different ways and have filled my heart with excitement. I forge ahead.
