丹尼尔·贝尔早在20世纪70年就在描述“后工业社会”的到来,判定它是由经济、政治和文化三个领域组成。贝尔主张文化的形式可以在历史中不断改变,但是精神内涵应能与世长存。并以现代主义为后工业社会的主导艺术形式,感慨它改写了传统的审美体验,使距离感消失不见。贝尔批评现代主义是抛弃了古典艺术立足于哲学沉思的模仿原则,沉溺于感官轰炸,没有给净化和宣泄留出空间。这一比较典型的文化保守主义立场,是是非非读者应能得出自己的结论。
As early as 1970s, Daniel Bell described the advent of ’post-industrial society’ and decided that it was made up of three fields of economy, politics and culture. Bell argues that the form of culture can continue to change in history, but the spiritual content should survive forever. With modernism as the dominant art form in the post-industrial society, it is felt that it rewrote the traditional aesthetic experience and made the sense of distance disappear. Baer criticized modernism as abandoning the imitation principle of classical art based on philosophical contemplation, indulging in sensory bombing, and leaving room for purification and catharsis. This typical cultural conservatism position is right and wrong readers should be able to draw their own conclusions.
