新中国成立以来,我国档案事业的发展,经历了一个不断实践、认识、再实践、再认识的过程,在这个过程中,档案工作者付出了辛勤的劳动,取得了巨大的成就,积累了丰富而又宝贵的经验。在建国四十周年之时,认真总结这些经验,不仅对认识我国档案事业发展的一般规律有着重要作用,同时对建设和发展一个地区、一个单位的档案工作也有着重要价值。那么,历史给我们有哪些启示呢?我觉得有不少经验值得我们很好地去总结。限于篇幅,择其要者,谈几点认识。
