18世纪末19世纪处初,黑格尔预言了一条精神性逐步增强、最终艺术被哲学所取代的美学历史观。19世纪到20世纪中叶,西方艺术艺术史经由浪漫主义、表现主义、超现实主义,发展出了一支重精神表现的艺术史线索。到了20世纪中后期,现成品、拼贴、挪用等艺术手段逐渐走上艺术舞台,视觉经验的无效化带给了我们一种需要“阐释”的美术史。用阿瑟丹托的理论来讲,艺术已经进入了后历史时期,一个艺术上升为哲学反思的多元化历史阶段。
At the beginning of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, Hegel predicted an aesthetical and historic view of the gradual enhancement of spirit and the ultimate replacement of philosophy by philosophy. From the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century, western art and art history developed a clue of art history through the romanticism, expressionism and surrealism. By the middle and late 20th century, art pieces like ready-made, collage and misappropriation gradually took the stage of art. The invalidation of visual experience has given us a kind of art history that needs “interpretation ”. In Arthur Danto’s theory, art has entered a post-historical period and an art has risen to a pluralistic historical stage of philosophical reflection.
