志主张抱麟官拜御史大夫,爵封武当郡王,系唐代藩镇割据时期淄青镇李氏统治集团的核心成员之一。墓志属新出土石刻文物,志文不见于《全唐文》,可补《唐剌史考全编》之不足,并由张抱麟、王光辅、李光耀翁婿三人俱封王爵的史实反映出唐代滥封异姓王情况的严重,还对深入解读大历才子韩翃的《送王光辅归青州兼寄储侍郎》诗颇有裨镒。此外,墓志书法精妙可称,艺术价值不菲,堪称唐志中的精诣之作。
