In order to meet the needs of the development of China’s agricultural mechanization, the No. 1 Agricultural Machinery Institute of the First Machinery Department introduced a 12-horse-class combine harvester from abroad. The rubber crawler equipped on this harvester was developed by the Hangzhou Yonggu Rubber Factory in 1978 and the Xinjiang Provincial Institute of Mechanical Engineering. Huzhou Combine Harvester Factory carried out trial production and experiments together.
