The delegation went to the United Kingdom for an education tour. Although the time was not long, there was a lot of enlightenment. Among them, what most stirred my mind was the self-evaluation of the headmasters of UK primary and secondary schools. This kind of self-assessment makes me tempted because the value orientation shown by this evaluation sequence is all oriented to the person—or to the self, or to the interpersonal. Its core is human development. In the UK, there is a set of assessment methods to assess the headmasters of primary and secondary schools. Among them, the principal’s self-evaluation is particularly emphasized in order to urge the headmaster to constantly reflect and improve in the assessment. The self-evaluation of UK primary and secondary school principals includes eleven aspects.
