长期以来,国内学术界关注的多是爱伦.坡的哥特小说、侦探小说、科幻小说以及“为艺术而艺术”的文艺观,很少有人提及其幽默讽刺小说。新历史主义主张将历史考察带入文学研究,从文化角度研究文学作品。文章尝试从新历史主义角度出发,将坡放回他所处的社会历史环境,以探讨其幽默讽刺小说的创作成因,认为坡创作幽默讽刺小说是出于对其生活的资本主义社会的严重不满和独特的文艺观不被时人所理解。 For a long time, most academicians in China pay close attention to Ellen Poe’s gothic novels, detective novels, science fiction novels, and “art for art” literary concepts. Few people mentioned his humorous satirical novels. Neo-historicism advocated the historical investigation into literary studies and the research of literary works from the perspective of culture. The article attempts to put the slope back to his social and historical context from the perspective of neo-historicism to explore the origin of his humorous satirical novels. He thinks that poetic satirical novels originated from the serious dissatisfaction and uniqueness of the capitalist society The literary view is not understood by the time.
