Objective To understand the prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis infection in gynecological patients in hospitals and provide the basis for scientific prevention and treatment. Methods The normal vaginal smear method was used to examine the vaginal discharge of 7376 gynecological clinics in Lulong County Hospitals from 2005 to 2008 so as to know the prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis infection and to analyze the test results. Results The average infection rate of Trichomonas vaginalis in 4 years was 8.45% (623/7376). There was no significant difference in the annual infection rate, but it decreased year by year. The infection rate in the 35-year-old group was 11.78% (1491/1265) in 4 years, which was significantly higher In other age groups, the infection rate after the age of 40 was 11.49% (131/1140), but the infection rate in the 35-year-old group was 11.40% (39/342) in 2007, slightly lower than that of the 40-year-old group 11.80 (36/305). The lowest infection rate in the group under 20 years old was 0.90% (2/221). There was no significant difference in the seasonal infection rate. The infection rates in November, December and January were higher than those in other months, which were 9.15%, 8.94% and 9.88% respectively. Infection rate of rural residents (8.23%) was significantly higher than that of urban areas (1.17%). Conclusion The prevalence of Trichomonas vaginalis in the surveyed patients was higher than that of the global women (3.1%), lower than that of the same kind in the country. 35-45 years old was the highest incidence of Trichomonas vaginalis infection, Clearly affected.
