The Bureau of Radio Management of the MII announced recentlythe re-allocation of the 1880- 1900MHz/ 1960- 1980MHz bands forFDD wireless access system applications. The 1895-1900/1975 1980MHz bands are assigned to China Telecom’s Wireless accesssystems; while 1890- 1895/1970- 1975MHz bands are assigned toChina Unicorn for the same purposes. Both license are valid until theend of the year 2002.With due considerations for the 3G frequency planning, the centralBureau has banned local Radio Managements from allocating 1880- 1900MHz/ 1960-1980MHz bands for other applications. Besides, theBureau has allocated 1908- 1915MHz band for TDMA/CDMAsystems applications.
