江泽民同志今年七一重要讲话中 ,有关于社会主义民主政治的丰富思想。从《讲话》对“三个代表”深刻内涵的阐述中可以看到 ,“三个代表”内含着发展社会主义民主政治的要求。《讲话》提出了“通过发展党内民主 ,积极推动人民民主的发展”的重要思想 ,并对发展党内民主提出了具体明确的要求。《讲话》提出了“积极稳妥地推进政治体制改革 ,进一步扩大社会主义民主”的思想 ,并论述了关于改进党的领导方式和执政方式、关于改革干部人事制度、关于完善对各级领导干部的监督机制、关于维护党和国家的集中统一等重要问题。
