’99 Fortune Global Forum Annual meeting in Shanghai, large-scale participation in the world’s top enterprises as much, remarkable, and there is a phenomenon is more intriguing: Wenxin Xinmin Press Group, Guangzhou Daily Newspaper Group, Guangming Daily Newspaper Group CEOs were invited to attend this annual meeting. This is a sign that the rapid rise of China’s newspaper industry indicates that in the process of world economic integration, China’s newspaper industry will occupy an important place in both the Chinese business community and even the world business community. When the Xinhua News Agency reported this annual meeting, there was a message that the Guangzhou Daily Newspaper Group has rapidly formed its issuance in the past seven years through the annexation of 10 newspapers, 3 magazines and a publishing house Volume reached 1.2 million copies, the annual output value of about 2000000000 yuan in size. It is currently seeking to list overseas securities markets to get the massive amount of money needed for expansion. Coincidentally, the Office of the State Council recently issued a joint document, requiring the adjustment of newspaper structure. The document clearly stipulates that the bureaus, departments, commissions and commissions of the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government as well as the bureaus (prefectures) under the prefecture (city) shall not report. The original newspaper can be assigned to the party chief, host. Party newspaper can not absorb the withdrawal. This undoubtedly provides a good opportunity for the more powerful party newspaper to expand through mergers and acquisitions.
