普遍存在的一种观念认为,在制冷的绝大多数应用领域中,唯一可行的制冷剂当是一种新的碳氟化合物.这势必导致每年有数10万t有害化合物散发到大气中,从而隐含着对环境难以预见的潜在危险.好在已有或者可开发很多其它的选择方案.如果采用生态系统申已有的天然物质作制冷剂,则可避免与我们将来环境污染相关的某些有争议的问题.对实验室样机的研究与实际测试结果表明,二氧化碳是一种极好的汽车空调制冷剂,可完全解决与制冷系统相关的所有环境污染的问题.从环境与实用的观点来看,在目前形势下,普遍应用二氧化碳作制冷剂具有诸多优点.作者所持的观点是,对于众多的制冷应用,要彻底解决环境污染的问题,使用老的制冷剂—二氧化碳具有关键性的作用.
The prevailing view is that the only viable refrigerant in most refrigeration applications is a new type of fluorocarbon. This will inevitably result in the emission of some 100,000 t of harmful compounds into the atmosphere each year, implying the potential danger to the environment unforeseen. Fortunately, there are many other options available or can be developed. Using natural substances already present in ecosystems as refrigerants can avoid some of the controversial issues associated with our future environmental pollution. Research and practical tests on laboratory prototypes show that carbon dioxide is an excellent automotive air-conditioning refrigerant that completely addresses all environmental concerns associated with refrigeration systems. From an environmental and practical point of view, in the current situation, the widespread use of carbon dioxide as a refrigerant has many advantages. The author holds the view that for a large number of refrigeration applications, the problem of environmental pollution should be completely solved and the use of the old refrigerant, carbon dioxide, is of crucial importance.
