Zhong Wai Tong Bao silver coin, not cast by the commission agent of British, Japan, Taiwan Provinceor by Korea, was cast by the Royal mint of British in the late of 1867 and the beginning of 1868 on thebase of co-designing by the personnel of British Embassy in China and Hong Kong mint. Because of theclosing down of Hong Kong Mint, the silver coin medel had no time presenting to Chinese government andwas not accepted. To a certain extent, it was the first step of casting the dragon silver dollar in China.
