1980年代以来,全球化与世界经济重构及其对城市和区域发展的影响成为西方地理学界研究和关注的重点。其中,艾伦·斯科特的认知—文化经济理论为近些年最具代表性和影响力的理论之一。该理论试图为资本主义经济发展和城市化之间的互动关系提供一个较为全面的分析框架,并对当前以认知—文化经济为基础的“第三波城市化”进行深入解释,一经提出就成为西方学术界关注和争论的焦点。本文首先详细回顾认知—文化经济理论的基本思想,在此基础上介绍三种对该理论主要的批评观点,最后就该理论对中国城市研究和城市建设的启示进行讨论。
Since the 1980s, globalization and the restructuring of the world economy and its impact on urban and regional development have become the focus of research and focus in the Western geography community. Among them, Alan Scott’s cognitive-cultural economy theory is one of the most representative and influential theories in recent years. This theory attempts to provide a more comprehensive analysis framework for the interaction between capitalist economic development and urbanization, and explain the current “third wave of urbanization” based on cognitive-cultural economy. Proposed to become the focus of attention and controversy in Western academia. This paper first reviews in detail the basic ideas of cognitive-cultural economic theory, and on this basis, introduces three main points of criticism of the theory. Finally, it discusses the implications of this theory for urban research and urban construction in China.
