桃蚜传播蚕豆萎蔫病毒病的效率高于豆蚜,获毒时间以10—60秒最适宜,刺探时间延长。传毒效率降低。桃蚜刺探前时间短于豆蚜,在一定时间内刺探次数多于豆蚜,在30分钟内前者为9次后者为7次。每次刺探大多在10—80秒内完成。桃蚜的这种取食行为对传播非持久性的BBWV较豆蚜有利。试验证实无翅桃蚜和豆蚜都具扩散传毒的能力,桃蚜的扩散传毒能力较豆蚜强。
