作为画家的收藏家、也是作为收藏家的画家,黄胄在《炎黄艺术馆藏品集》序言中讲过他收藏前人字画的缘起、过程,和他对收藏文物字画的基本看法: “我是学画的人,酷爱古代绘画。由于经常通过观摩古代绘画精品来汲取宝贵的营养,因而也养成了收藏、鉴赏古代文物的爱好。我感到逛书店、旧货摊,收藏文物字画,对认识、研究古代书画艺术有极大的帮助。对于传统艺术从无知到有知、从收藏到研究,就是一个不断加深了解古代文物与古代文化丰富内涵的过程,我为我们这个民族伟大的历史感到自豪。” “从收藏到研究”,从中寻求创作的借鉴,是黄胄收藏的初衷,也是他始终不渝的收藏目标和原则。 一 黄胄夫人郑闻慧在一篇文章中讲过黄胄开始收藏古字画是在1957年之后。
