母语运用在大学英语教学中是个颇具争议的问题,本文就非英语专业学生对基本用英语授课的适应情况,分析母语运用在英语习得中的作用,指出审慎地使用母语是帮助学生澄清理解中疑团的有效手段,但随着学生英语知识和运用能力的增强,母语的运用应相应地减少。
The use of mother tongue in college English teaching is a very controversial issue. This article analyzes the adaptation of non-English majors to basic English teaching and analyzes the role of mother tongue in English acquisition. It points out that the careful use of mother tongue is to help students clarify their understanding. The effective means of doubting the group, but as the students’ knowledge of English and the ability to use it increase, the use of the mother tongue should be reduced accordingly.
