20世纪英国桂冠诗人泰德·休斯的诗歌作品内涵丰富,思想深邃。他的诗通过自然意象和夸张想象的呈现,不断寻求尊重主观世界、崇敬自然力量的个体存在方式,构建其独有的精神世界的主张,以此拒斥现代社会的工具理性与正统的人文主义思想。休斯诗歌的主题表征﹑批判精神以及犀利诗风,在当代仍有珍贵的精神价值和美学意义。
Twentieth century British poet Ted Hughes poetic works rich in content, profound thinking. Through the presentation of natural images and exaggerated imagination, his poetry constantly seeks to respect the subjective world, to revere the individual existence mode of the natural forces and to construct his own unique spiritual world, thus rejecting the instrumental rationality of modern society and the orthodox humanism thought. The thematic representation, critical spirit and sharp poetic style of Hughes’ poetry still have precious spiritual value and aesthetical significance in the contemporary era.
