塑料大棚地膜复盖栽培技术是蔬菜早熟、增产的重要措施之一。常州市郊区地处太湖流域的湖西平原,平均无霜期虽有230天左右,但每年冬春季节气温较低,影响瓜、茄类的正常育苗。近年来,由于采用了塑料大棚地膜复盖栽培技术,使蔬菜生产有了改善,增产效果是明显的。至一九八六年底,常州市郊区有地膜复盖面积246.7公顷,大棚面积33.3公顷;大棚地膜复盖的蔬菜品种有黄瓜、蕃茄、菜椒等,可提早上市二、三十天左右。随着地膜复盖栽培技术的广泛研究与应用,产生了大棚和地膜内蔬菜的追肥、灌水和早衰问题,为了探索和解决这一问题,我们在塑料大棚地膜复盖情况下,进行了黄瓜微灌方式的肥水灌溉试验,即在地膜复盖下土壤表面安装一根15毫米粗的塑料毛管,在毛管上钻1~1.7毫米的针孔,在一定的压力下把水和肥料液灌于蔬菜根部,达到灌水和追肥的目的。1983~1987年进行了上述试验研究。
