With the increase of the number of doctoral students, the employment difficulties have also begun to be put before the world. Although highly educated people are still a useful “stepping stone” in the talent market, due to the doctoral candidates’ career outlook and mentality, the hypocrisy of highly educated professionals has begun to cool down. Doctoral students have poor employment information and the employment service mechanism is imperfect. The series of reasons led to the PhD students who had always been regarded as “the gods of the day” and began to lament the hard work of finding jobs. According to statistics, after 4 years of enrollment expansion, the number of doctoral students in China has risen to the forefront of the world, second only to the United States and Germany. Recently, the number of doctoral students in the country reached more than 120,000. In 2001, the number of Ph.Ds awarded to China was more than 12,000. It is estimated that the number of PhDs granted to China this year will reach 30,000 and that by 2010 it will reach 50,000.
