我说从北大学到了东西,并不是说当时北大的学术比现在强。在我看来,大学对学生最大的训练是教他或她怎么当一个君子。在这方面,我至少是碰到了皮毛。我在这里讲的君子,有一个自己的定义,那就是饱满的、全面发展的人格。这样的君子所指的,其实就是一种品格:有独立的道德判断和意志,有自己对生活和世界的理解,知道怎么应付挑战,怎么自我发展,怎么创造自己生命的价值。这样说也许太抽象,我举个例子。“文革”结束之后,国家恢复了高考,一些在“文革”中下过乡的大龄学生成了我的同学。比如我们宿舍当时有6个同学,
