我们学会是在原武汉地区林学分会和科普工作组基础上,于七月十一日成立的“湖北省林学会”。参加学会的八个单位,共116人,由党政领导和技术人员17人组成理事会,下设营林、园林、林主副产品综合利用等三个学组委员会。在各级党委领导支持下,发挥了会员俩的积极性,仅五个月期间,共开展学术讨论会五次,油茶、楠竹丰产考察2次,一个重点县(崇阳)植物普查;林产化学加工试验出成品20余种,质量一般达到工艺标准。编制了城市园林化规划典型设计说明和图纸、速生丰产造林方案和四
