1. Introduction AC voltage standards should not be moved. Precise crossovers require conversion techniques that compare the ac heating value of an unknown waveform to a comparable and easily measurable dc voltage heating value. Improvements in modern thermoelectric element technology have raised the accuracy of the AC voltage measurement capability of an accurate DC digital voltmeter and AC voltage calibration device to an 80 × 10 -6 uncertainty
