2010-2012年,安徽省地质博物博物馆与北京大学、美国加州大学(戴维斯)和意大利米兰大学合作,在安徽巢湖马家山对下三叠统南凌湖组上段开展了系统的科学发掘。在这3年期间,一共得到了约80条海生爬行动物骨骼化石,大量的鱼化石及与其伴生的菊石、双壳等多门类的无脊椎动物化石,大大丰富了巢湖龙动物群的样性组成,也为大家认识二叠纪末大灭绝后生物的复苏、辐射,海生爬行动物的起源和演化提供了丰富的材料。
In 2010-2012, the Geological Museum of Anhui Province, in cooperation with Peking University, the University of California (Davis) and the University of Milan, carried out a systematic scientific excavation in the Upper Triassic Nanlinghu Formation in Majiashan, Chaohu, Anhui Province. During these three years, a total of about 80 marine reptile skeleton fossils, a large number of fish fossils and their associated ammonites, bivalves and other types of invertebrate fossils, greatly enriched the sample of the Chaohu Dragon fauna Sexual composition, but also for everyone to understand the end of the Permian bio-recovery after the extinction of radiation, the origins and evolution of marine reptiles provide a wealth of materials.
