如果要更艺术地描述罗大佑的歌,我只能用选取意象的办法来表达:白云苍狗。美丽的蓝鸽子扑扇着羽翼从天边斜飞过来,自你我的肩头掠过,融入沉默的远空……悠悠的流水从辽远的千年流来,在你我的身边流过,再流到遥远的千年之后……天涯咫尺,从来不会休止。自1974年出道,罗大佑以他那些富有生命质感的作品雄踞流行乐坛已二十余年了。他的《明天会更好》《恋曲1990》《滚滚红尘》等作品唱遍大江南北。但罗的专辑被引进过来的并不多,据我所知仅两种:《恋曲1980～1990》(北京音像公司,1990)《恋曲2000》(上海声像出版社,1994)。可是别的歌手演唱或翻唱他的歌为数不少。罗大佑的歌,主题多样,曲风多变,才气逼人。但大体还是可以划分为校园民歌、民谣摇滚、政治摇滚和罗式情歌等。
