大学英语专业基础阶段的词汇教学需要进一步的改进。“音”、“形”、“义”联系紧密,不可分割。通过介绍“音”(音系规则),让学生透过“形”(词素变体),查找词源领会“义”(词义),并从构词、语义和词源等角度分析词的理据,扩展记忆同族词并加以应用。这是一个由表及里的教学过程,对于提高词汇教学效率、改善学生的词汇学习方法、加强学生自主学习能力的培养,都有着积极的意义。本文以《现代大学英语精读》第四册的典型单词为例,展示了主要的教学步骤。
Vocabulary teaching at the basic stage of college English major needs further improvement. “Sound ”, “shape ”, “meaning ” closely linked, indivisible. By introducing “sound ” (phonological rules), let students through the “Morpheme ” (morphological variants), find etymology to understand “meaning ” (meaning), and from the word, semantics and etymology Analyze the rationale of the word from the perspective of the other, expand the memory of the same clan and apply it. This is a process of teaching from inside and outside the table, which has a positive meaning to improve the efficiency of teaching vocabulary, improve students ’vocabulary learning methods, and enhance students’ self-learning ability. Taking the typical words of the fourth book of Intensive English for Contemporary College English as an example, this article shows the main teaching steps.
