The concept that all blood cells are derived from a common hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) has now been accepted by most scholars, but many of the basic questions about the interaction between HSC and its hematopoietic-induced microenvironment (HIM) are unclear, as HSCs randomly enter and colonize in special HIMs and then lead to specialized directed differentiation or induce premature targeting of stem cells in a particular microenvironment. It is unclear whether the process leading to differentiation of HSCs in a particular direction is an irreversible process or is a gradual process of reversal of the induction of cells or removal of stem cells into the other HIMs from HIM problem.
