近年来,我国高等教育事业呈现出良好的发展态势,高等院校不断扩招,在校学生人数不断增加。与此同时,我们也应该清醒地看到,随着形势的发展和高等教育改革发展步伐的加快,影响高校安全稳定的因素越来越复杂,维护高校安全稳定的任务也越来越艰巨。在加强高校学生安全与管理建设的同时,高校应该更加重视学生的安全意识培养教育。培养高校学生的生命安全意识,这不仅体现着党中央关于建设社会主义和谐社会的本质要求,同时也是创建和谐校园、保障高校育人功能实现的重要途径。和谐社会建设中“以人为本”的理论精髓,要求我们必须重视高校学生所面临的具体安全问题,特别是高校学生的生命安全意识问题。
