现行的锡伯语和锡伯文是由新疆维吾尔自治区政府部门管理的6种语言文字之一。新中国建立以后,在党的民族政策的光辉照耀下,锡伯语言文字获得了法定地位,与新疆的其他少数民族语言文字一起得到平等和谐发展,在20世纪50年代出现发展繁荣的新景象。60～70年代的的锡伯语文工作,前期受到左倾思潮的干扰,特别是受到文字改革的直接影响,至后期则受到“十年文革”动乱的严重破坏。改革开放时期的锡伯语文工作,从80年代初至90年代中期,为锡伯语文的恢复与发展阶段。这个阶段在宽松和谐的政治环境下,锡伯语文工作迎来了第二个春天,促使锡伯语文在恢复中发展,在发展中提高,取得了一系列成果;自90年代后期以来,在社会强势语言与文化的强烈冲击下,在双语模式下,锡伯语文的学习和使用面临严峻的挑战,使锡伯语文工作不得不转入保护阶段。虽然锡伯语文出现了一定程度的衰退现象,但它对本民族传统文化的张力依然存在,锡伯语文的生存环境依然存在,锡汉双语教育依然存在。因此,只要我们认真扎实地做好保护和传承工作,就一定能够促进锡伯语文在新的历史条件下取得新的发展。

Under the relaxed and harmonious political environment, the Xibe language work ushers in the second spring at this stage, prompting Xibe language development in recovery and improvement in development. A series of achievements have been made since the late 90’s; in the socially powerful language Under the strong impact of culture and culture, under the bilingual mode, the study and use of Xibe language is facing severe challenges, which has forced the Xibe language work into the protection stage. Although the Xibe language appeared a certain degree of recession, its tension on its traditional culture still existed. The living environment of Xibe language still existed, and the bilingual education of Xixi and Han still existed. Therefore, as long as we conscientiously and solidly carry out the work of protection and inheritance, we will surely be able to promote the Xibe language to make new progress under the new historical conditions.
