This article presents a distributed, shared-bus, multi-microprocessor system for automated, real-time analysis and processing of complex physiological signals, such as EEG. Each peripheral unit is called a preprocessor. In each input bus, a real-time processing algorithm is completed through a data multiplex switch, and the analysis result is input into the main processor. The main processing computer synthesizes the information received by each preprocessor . When necessary, it is stored on disk to complete a higher level of data analysis and user interface. Distribution patterns and algorithms specify different levels of processing power, so this architecture is highly efficient, saving both hardware and low loss. The system consists of five main components: 1. The master machine is composed of a standard module with a computer G64, G64 bus for the system to provide a bus; 2. A 64kbyte static RAM board as a public mailbox memory;
