计划生育是毛主席、党中央多年倡导的一件关系到国计民生的大事,英明领袖华主席对此也非常关心,非常重视。做为我们卫生战线上的一员——赤脚医生更应积极、主动地配合领导搞好这项工作,做一个计划生育工作的有心人。对这个问题我是有个认识过程的。我们大队计划生育工作过去一直搞得比较差,1975年全大队人口出生率还高达32‰,是全公社计划生育的后进队。当时由于“四人帮”的干扰和破坏,我曾错误地认为,赤脚医生能把防病治病等工作搞好就算服务到家了,计划生育工作搞不好,那是领导的事,与我无关。究竟是有关还是无关?在落实第一次全国农业学大寨会议精神的过程中,大队党支部和许多贫下中农代表反复学习毛主席关于“人口非控制不行”等教导,认真总结教训,主动承担责任的精神对我震动很大。我联系自己的思想和工作实际,重温了《为人民服务》等光辉著作和有关文件,深深感到,为人民服务没有止境,自己工作还未到家。赤脚医生不仅要在劳动中做好防病治病工作,还要配合领导抓好计划生育工作,这是全党全民都应关心和重视的大事,也是我们应尽的职责。从此,我坚决顶住“四人帮”的破坏和干扰,开始把计划生育工作列入自己的工作计划,依靠群众,尽 Family planning is a major event that Chairman Mao Zedong and the CPC Central Committee have advocated for many years regarding the national economy and the people’s livelihood. Barefoot doctors must not only do a good job of preventing and curing diseases in labor, but also must coordinate with the leaders to do a good job in family planning. This is a major event that the entire party and the people should care about and attach importance to, and it is also our due responsibility. From then on, I resolutely resisted the destruction and interference of the “Gang of Four” and began to include family planning work in my work plan, relying on the masses.
