我校是江苏省教改先进单位,学校的教育教学工作多次受到省、市、县主管部门的表彰。通过培训学习,再结合自己的工作实践,我深深体会到,办好一所学校,关键在于充分调动广大教师的积极性。作为校长,应该讲究科学的领导艺术和工作方法,把教师紧紧团结在一起,形成学校工作的凝聚力。群策群力,才能办好学校。调动教师的工作积极性,首先应该尊重他们的人格,承认他们的劳动。教师作为以教书育人为己任的特殊的知识分子群体,他们最需要的不是金钱和显赫的地位,而是领导、家长和全社会的理解、尊重和信任。1987年,我担任校长时,特别强调实行校长负责制一定要和教职工民主管理紧密结合。为此,我带头支持学校的工会、共青团工作,建立了工会、共青团的各项工作制度,不断拓宽和理顺教师参与学校管理的渠道。找们定期发放意见卡、信息反馈卡,教师对校长有什么意见,对学校工作有什么建议,可随时填卡反映,正确的意见被采纳后,年终给予适当的奖励;设立校长接待日,每月1日、15日由我或副校长负责接待,主要为反映“个性”问题的教师提供方便;经常深入到教师中去,和他们交朋友,注意捕捉他们的“第一信号”,了解他们在想些什么,干些什么,随时帮助他们解决工作、生活上的实际困难;举办尊师会,组织毕业生探望母校教师,给老教师祝寿,通过这一系列的活动,来增强教师从事教育工作

To this end, I took the lead in supporting the work of the school’s trade unions and the Communist Youth League and established various working systems for the trade unions and the Communist Youth League so as to constantly broaden and rationalize the channels for teachers’ participation in school administration.
