Last year, the author read “The Language Teaching Newsletter” that Mao Rongfu’s teacher said something to some young teachers: “Don’t put language classes too much like Chinese language classes.” I feel that it flashes the light of speculative thinking in Chinese language teaching and it is worth exploring. Indeed, “too much like a language lesson” puts the class to death, and without personality it loses its aura. Language teaching should pay attention to “living” and students should be able to pay attention to it; language teaching should pay attention to “reality” and allow students to truly gain. Only live is not true, easy to flow on the surface fancy; only really not live, it will look dull. Three years later, two students were given different methods in the same text, “The Banquet of Banquet”, and it became increasingly clear that the organic combination of living and realism was the key to a good language lesson.
