信息传播速度的竞赛,大大地激活了媒体的代谢功能。常常是事件刚刚发生或没有发生前,信息已经开始了传播。大众传媒的作用当然不只是传播信息本身或者是让公众获取知识,更为重要的是在今天,大众传媒已经开始了对公众审美娱乐以及消费产生了一定的导向和暗示的作用。
The race to spread information has greatly activated the metabolic function of the media. It is often the case that information has just started to circulate just before or after the incident. Of course, the role of the mass media is not just to spread the information itself or to let the public acquire knowledge. More importantly, the mass media has begun to play a certain role of guiding and implicating the public in aesthetic entertainment and consumption.
