新斯科舍省曾经一度被称为加拿大的教育强省,如今却面临诸多发展难题:教育质量持续下滑,移民家庭子女融入、学生课业负担繁重、管理体制刻板僵化等。为了应对这些困境,该省的教育行政部门征集各方意见与反馈,商讨教育改革策略,于2015年1月出台了《3R教育行动计划》,意图从教育结构、课程设置、校园环境、教学管理等方面对新斯科舍省的学校教育进行全面的反思、聚焦与重建。
Nova Scotia was once known as Canada’s powerful province of education, but now it faces many development problems: the continuous decline in the quality of education, the integration of children of immigrant families, the heavy burden on students in schoolwork, and the rigid rigid management system.
