黑色素瘤是含有黑色素或黑色素形成组织的恶性肿瘤。常见于皮肤及眼球的脉络膜。发生转移早,且甚广泛,机体的任何器官都可被累及。其中近半数有脑转移,而原发于中枢神经系统之黑色素瘤极为罕见。Virchow(1859年)首先报告一例,其后陆续有零星报导。国内文献首见于王慰曾等(1955年)报告一例,截止目前为止,国内有文献可查的共有12例报导。年龄最小者为1.1岁,最大者为49岁。发生在婴儿者尚无报导。我院自1970年1月至78年底,经病理证实的颅内肿瘤1034例 Melanoma is a malignant tumor that contains melanin or melanin-forming tissue.
