通过调查发现,以卸甲坪土家族乡为代表的散居区民族传统体育文化与土家族聚居区的传统体育文化已经表现出一定的差异,主要表现在传统体育文化的表现形式进一步淡化;传统体育项目由原始的敬神娱神价值进一步向娱人健身价值转化;民族传统项目逐步被赋予了新的文化内涵。其差异性发展趋势主要表现在:民族传统体育文化的认同度下降;出现本民族传统体育文化被边缘化的危机;传统体育项目正在向竞技化的方向发展;散居区少数民族传统体育文化正兼收并蓄、多元化发展。
