New Delhi, the capital of India, is the second largest city in the country with a population of 14 million, yet the city has 4 million motor vehicles of all kinds. Of the four million vehicles, at least 1.2 million are sedans. Of the 1.2 million cars, more than 80% are small cars. 70% of the small sedans are “Marudi” sedans produced by a joint venture between Marudi India and Japan’s Suzuki. In the early 1980s, Indian sedans sold only about 30,000 to 40,000 cars per year. There are two main sedans on the street: the “Ambassador” sedan made by Hindustan Motor Company and the “Fiat” sedan imported from Italy "car. In order to meet the needs of national economic development, the Indian government decided to introduce foreign investment to develop India’s automobile industry. Through international bidding, the Indian government is in more than a dozen foreign countries
