在一个细雨纷飞的早晨,我们开始为期两天的探寻厦门边防之旅。这两年,边防辖区已成为厦门最热的热土——火炬(翔安)产业区、翔安隧道、软件园二期、环东海域(同安湾区域)建设……10多个总投资数百亿元的国家、省、市重点工程,都落户于此。在新一轮跨越式发展的保卫工作中,边防官兵付出了比别人更多的心血和汗水!听说这十几个重点工程,多数一年来都没发生过一起刑事案件、没发生一起群体性上访,得到了驻地党政领导的高度肯定。
