First, a more special grammatical phenomenon Speaking, Sichuan people love to use the following sentences, such as: a. I do not play with you two. b. Do not talk to him more than two. Sentence a, b corresponds to the Mandarin sentence is: a ’, I do not play with him (play). Do not say anything to him. Sentence a ’, b’, Sichuan is still used, speaking more formally. The “two” in the sentences a and b seem to appear redundant and useless both semantically and syntactically, yet in the spoken language of daily life they are used quite often by Sichuan people (western Sichuan, eastern Sichuan, southern Sichuan , Kawakita all say so) and it is quite natural (locals generally can not perceive structurally any awkwardness in speaking). This kind of special grammatical phenomenon deserves analysis and research.
